Knowledge sharing

Sometimes it is simply easier to ask someone a question than to look for an answer yourself. We are happy to be the person you speak to when it comes to accessibility of museums.

Project support

Mikxs offers support to organizations that want to tackle the subject but do not (yet) have the time to do so. We can put the subject on the map on a project basis and embed it in the organization. By creating awareness, taking stock of what is already going well and where improvements can still be made.

Together we work on setting up an action plan to activate everyone in the organization, because there is something to do for everyone. From the ICT department and marketing, to the public employees and security guards, and also the producing colleagues; they will all have to do their part.

Audiodescription

If you want to offer audio description in your museum, we can help you create the image descriptions. By looking in detail at the art objects, reading background information provided by the museum and investigating the place the work has in the museum; we have the basics needed to create a good image description.

The image descriptions we create can be used for various purposes. You can make them accessible in an audio tour or use them, for example, as a basis for instruction to museum teachers during a tour. But they are also very suitable for making sighted people look at art differently.
